05:54 PM EDT, 09/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- BlackBerry (BB) late Thursday reported breakeven on non-GAAP basis in fiscal Q2, compared with a loss of $0.04 a year earlier.
Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected a $0.03 loss.
Revenue for the quarter ended Aug. 31 rose to $145 million from $132 million a year earlier.
Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $140.8 million.
For fiscal Q3, the company expects adjusted per-share results between a loss of $0.01 and earnings of $0.01, with revenue seen ranging from $146 million to $154 million.
The consensus is for breakeven on revenue of $154.2 million.
For fiscal 2025, BlackBerry said it now expects an adjusted loss of $0.02 to $0.05 per share on revenue of $591 million to $616 million. In June, the company projected an adjusted per-share loss of $0.03 to $0.07 on revenue of $586 million to $616 million.
Analysts are looking for a normalized loss of $0.04 per share on revenue of $604.3 million.
BlackBerry shares were up 1% in after-hours activity.
