( BB ) and Rogers Cybersecure Catalyst, Toronto Metropolitan University's national center for training, research and innovation, said overnight Tuesday that they have teamed up to offer the Catalyst's Certifications for Leadership in Cybersecurity program in Malaysia.

Rogers Cybersecure Catalyst will also partner with SANS Institute to provide full CLIC scholarships to three qualified Malaysian women candidates. The CLIC Malaysia program will launch in May, with registration now open.

The announcement comes as BlackBerry is gearing up to open its new Cybersecurity Center of Excellence in Kuala Lumpur on March 26.

CLIC is a six-month cybersecurity training and certification program.

The company's shares, which dropped 5.6% in Canada yesterday, edged up 0.8% in premarket US trading on Wednesday.
