BlackBerry's QNX Collaborates With WeRide on Driver Assistance Systems

05:02 AM EDT, 04/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Blackberry's (BB) QNX division and WeRide ( WRD ) are working on the advancement and deployment of software-defined vehicles for automotive original equipment manufacturers and suppliers, the companies said late Tuesday.

Financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed.

Under the collaboration, WeRide ( WRD ) is using QNX for its WePilot advanced driver assistance system for certain passenger vehicles, the companies said.

QNX's operating system will serve as the foundation for the advanced driver assistance system, which includes 360-degree obstacle avoidance capabilities, they added.
