09:12 AM EDT, 07/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- BlackSky Technology ( BKSY/WS ) said Wednesday that it has secured a contract from Latin American defence and intelligence customers to provide subscription-based Gen-3 and Gen-2 monitoring services.

BlackSky ( BKSY/WS ) did not reveal financial details pertaining to the contract.

The company said the monitoring services are intended for use against transnational organized crime networks.

The agreement enables customers to set up AI-enabled automated tip-and-cue tasking for BlackSky's ( BKSY/WS ) Gen-3 and Gen-2 satellites, the company said.

The on-demand subscriptions provide customers with access to BlackSky's ( BKSY/WS ) global satellite imagery services and are suitable for operations that require fast responsiveness, said BlackSky ( BKSY/WS ) CEO Brian O'Toole.
