Blackstone Makes Over $1.7 Billion Bid to Acquire Japanese Digital Comic Provider Infocom

07:01 AM EDT, 06/18/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Blackstone (BX) made more than a 275 billion yen ($1.74 billion) bid to acquire Japanese digital comic provider Infocom, multiple media outlets reported Tuesday, citing Infocom.

Blackstone will buy a 57.9% stake in Infocom from current parent Teijin for 134.38 billion yen and launch a tender offer for the remaining shares at 6,060 yen each, valuing Infocom's equity at around 275.8 billion yen, according to media reports.

Blackstone said it expects to commence the tender offer on Wednesday.
