Blackstone Says to Invest $1.2 Billion in West Virginia Power Generation Facility

10:26 AM EST, 11/13/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Blackstone (BX) said Thursday it will invest $1.2 billion to build a 600-megawatt power generation facility in Harrison County, West Virginia, through funds affiliated with Blackstone Energy Transition Partners.

The Wolf Summit Energy facility, a fully contracted combined-cycle gas turbine power generation plant, will support growing local electricity demand, including from data centers, the company said.

Blackstone shares were over 2% lower in recent trading.
