Sept 8 (Reuters) - Blackstone said on Monday its
489 million pound ($660.88 million) offer for Britain's
Warehouse REIT is now unconditional, bringing the U.S.
private equity group closer to formally wrapping up its takeover
of the logistics specialist.
Warehouse REIT, which had been the subject of a bidding war
for months, said late in August that a lower offer of 485.2
million pounds from its peer Tritax Big Box REIT had
been terminated.
Blackstone first made its offer for Warehouse REIT in March,
raised the bid in July, after which Warehouse shifted its
allegiance to the U.S. group.
Shares in the London-headquartered Warehouse REIT rose 1.2%
at 0737 GMT.
