10:39 AM EST, 01/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Blue Owl Capital (OBDC) and Blue Owl Capital Corp. III ( OBDE ) said Friday proxy advisory firms Institutional Shareholder Services and Glass Lewis have recommended the companies' shareholders to vote in favor of the pending merger.

Shareholders of both companies are set to vote on the merger at special meetings scheduled for Jan. 8, the companies said.

The merger offers a solid "strategic rationale" through increased scale, potential improvements in trading dynamics and cost savings through operational efficiencies, ISS said Thursday, according to the companies.

Glass Lewis last week noted the compatibility between the two firms, mentioning their similar investment approaches, portfolio strategies and risk-return profiles, making the merger straightforward to implement, the companies added.
