07:52 AM EDT, 08/29/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Blue Owl Capital (OWL) said Thursday that it has entered into a joint venture agreement with Chirisa Technology Parks and PowerHouse Data Centers to develop large-scale AI/HPC data centers.

The joint venture will have up to $5 billion of capital for the development and deployment of new AI/HPC capacity across the US, the company said.

The initial 120 MW of capacity will be delivered for CoreWeave in 2025 and 2026 at Chirisa's campus near Richmond, Virginia, the company said. In the pipeline are brownfield and greenfield campuses in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Texas, Kentucky and Nevada, the company added.
