07:34 AM EDT, 10/29/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Bank of Canada Governor Tiff Macklem and Senior Deputy Governor Carolyn Rogers will appear before the House Standing Committee on Finance at 3:30 p.m ET on Tuesday, noted Bank of Montreal (BMO).

On Monday, Governor Macklem reaffirmed that monetary policy wasn't on a predetermined path, even as Canada's central bank seeks to normalize rates: "We don't know exactly the pace. We don't exactly know where the landing is".

Investors will also get the advance wholesale trade estimate for September at 8:30 a.m. ET Tuesday, said the bank.
