08:09 AM EST, 12/19/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Canada will release the Survey of Employment, Payrolls and Hours (SEPH) for October at 08:30 a.m. ET Thursday, noted Bank of Montreal (BMO).
September's SEPH readings were 3.0% for job vacancies and 57,400 lower in payrolls, pointed out the bank.
At the same time Thursday, there's household and mortgage credit for October, stated BMO. Both figures expanded around 3.5% year over year in September.
The US dollar (USD) gained (BBDXY +0.9%) as the Canadian dollar (CAD or loonie) lost ground (CAD per USD +1.0%), added the bank.
