07:48 AM EDT, 08/15/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Canada is slated to release manufacturing sales for June at 8:30 a.m. ET on Friday, noted Bank of Montreal (BMO).
Thursday, an inadvertently published table for manufacturing sales on Statistics Canada's website was taken down, said the bank. The result should be close to the +0.4% month-over-month advance estimate, after falling for four months in a row.
Canada will also publish wholesale trade for June at 8:30 a.m. ET on Friday, pointed out BMO.
Wholesale trade in the month is also expected to mirror the +0.7% month-over-month advance estimate, after dropping in three in the past four periods, added the bank.
Finally, new motor vehicle sales should increase 5.5% year over year in June in data to be released on Friday, according to BMO. The industry's light-vehicle sales figure was reported at +5.3% year over year, for the month which picked up to +6.9% year over year in July.
The US dollar (USD) is weaker (BBDXY -0.26%) with the Canadian dollar (CAD or loonie) stronger (CAD per USD -0.17%), pointed out the bank.
