12:44 PM EST, 03/07/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Boeing ( BA ) is facing an investigation of a 737 Max 8 aircraft after pilots of a United Airlines (UAL) flight reported a malfunction of rudder pedals during a landing on Feb. 6, the National Transportation Safety Board said in a preliminary report Thursday.

"Data showed that during the landing and subsequent rollout, the rudder surface position remained near its neutral position even though the force inputs to the rudder pedals were observed to be increasing," the NTSB report said.

Further examination of the components involved will be conducted as the investigation continues, the NTSB said

Boeing ( BA ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
