06:55 AM EDT, 06/18/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Boeing's ( BA ) chief executive officer, Dave Calhoun, will tell a US Senate committee in a hearing on Tuesday that the US aviation giant is aware of issues in its safety culture, several news outlets reported.

"Much has been said about Boeing's ( BA ) culture. We've heard those concerns loud and clear. Our culture is far from perfect, but we are taking action and making progress," Calhoun will tell the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, Reuters reported, citing a written statement from the Boeing ( BA ) executive.

Boeing ( BA ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.

The Senate subcommittee is slated to hear Calhoun later in the day regarding Boeing's ( BA ) plans to fix its manufacturing problems in response to a mid-air emergency in January involving an Alaska Airlines 737 MAX 9.
