Boeing October Deliveries Surge Year Over Year, But Trail Airbus' Tally
Nov 11, 2025 12:44 PM

03:21 PM EST, 11/11/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Boeing's ( BA ) jet deliveries surged year over year in October, though its tally lagged behind rival Airbus' total.

Boeing ( BA ) delivered 53 aircraft last month, up from 14 in October last year, but down from 55 in September, data on its website showed. The latest tally includes 39 of its 737 Max jets.

Boeing ( BA ) has delivered 493 aircraft in the first 10 months of the year, compared with 305 in the same period last year.

That puts the aircraft manufacturer on pace for its highest annual delivery total since 2018, according to a CNBC report.

Airbus reported 78 jet deliveries in October, bringing its year-to-date total to 585, data on its website showed.

Boeing ( BA ) booked 15 gross orders in October, down from 63 in October last year and from 96 in the month prior. Its European competitor reported orders of 112 in October.

Shares of Boeing ( BA ) rose 0.4% in Tuesday trading. The stock has risen nearly 11% so far this year.

Last month, the company said it booked a $4.9 billion charge tied to 777X program delays, bloating its third-quarter loss, while the plane maker's adjusted cash flow turned positive for the first time in nearly two years.

Boeing's ( BA ) unfulfilled orders as of the end of October totaled 6,534, while its backlog stood at 5,911.

Aircraft production delays could cost the airline industry more than $11 billion this year, as an aging global fleet requires higher fuel and maintenance expenses, the International Air Transport Association said in a report released in October.
