07:15 AM EDT, 05/29/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Boeing ( BA ) and the union representing the company's firefighters have reached a tentative agreement that "would end the lockout and months of negotiations," the union said Tuesday.

The International Association of Fire Fighters, the union representing the planemaker's about 125 fire and emergency service workers in Washington state, must still vote on the proposed deal.

"This tentative agreement addresses the needs of our firefighters and the company, and the representatives of Boeing ( BA ) and the IAFF encourage the members of Local I-66 to vote yes," a statement posted by Local I-66 on social media reads.

Boeing ( BA ) did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
