Boeing Relocates F/A-18 Program for St.Louis Site Expansion

01:27 PM EDT, 09/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Boeing ( BA ) said Wednesday it will relocate its F/A-18 Super Hornet Service Life Modification program out of the St. Louis, Missouri, region, starting in 2026, as part of expansion plans to support future programs.

The current St. Louis SLM team will support the program at the site to develop, build, and deliver the 6th-generation F-47 fighter, the company said.

Boeing ( BA ) will end the F/A-18 program operations in St. Louis in 2027. The company is considering multiple sites for relocating the program, with case studies scheduled at the San Antonio and Jacksonville sites, according to a statement.
