The plane maker delivered 44 aircraft last month, up from 27 a year earlier, but down from 45 in January. The latest deliveries included 31 737 Max jets, according to data on the company's website. For the first two months of the year, its overall deliveries reached 89.

Boeing ( BA ) booked 13 orders in February, all for the 737 Max model, down from an aggregate of 15 a year earlier and 36 the prior month. Airbus' order tally reached 14 last month.
In late January, Boeing ( BA ) Chief Executive Robert Ortberg said the company had a "significant amount" of inventory, both in airplanes and in supply parts. Boeing's ( BA ) unfulfilled orders as of the end of February totaled 6,197, while its backlog stood at 5,528, the data on its website showed.
US Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy reportedly plans to visit a Boeing ( BA ) factory in Renton, Washington, on Thursday to make sure the company is maintaining the highest level of safety.
