07:17 AM EDT, 06/16/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Boeing ( BA ) said Sunday that it projects global demand for 43,600 new commercial airplanes over the next 20 years, driven largely by emerging markets.
The planemaker's projections include 33,285 single-aisle aircraft and 7,815 wide-body jets.
Boeing ( BA ) said passenger traffic is expected to grow 4.2% annually through 2044, while the global fleet will almost double to more than 49,600 commercial jets.
