04:58 PM EDT, 06/18/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Boeing's ( BA ) Starliner capsule's return to Earth has been delayed to June 26 from June 22 due to thruster troubleshooting and a rescheduled spacewalk, NASA said in a YouTube teleconference Tuesday.
The capsule's return is scheduled for 4:51 am ET at White Sands Space Harbor in New Mexico, manager of NASA's Commercial Crew Program Steve Stich said.
NASA and Boeing ( BA ) are continuing to analyze the helium leak discovered in early May and new leaks during the mission along with thruster failures, the agency added.
The return delay also accommodates a rescheduled spacewalk on June 24 for ISS maintenance, Stitch added.
Boeing ( BA ) didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
