05:55 AM EDT, 06/30/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Boeing's ( BA ) proposed acquisition of Spirit AeroSystems ( SPR ) will be under a phase 1 investigation by the UK Competition and Markets Authority, the competition regulator said Monday.

The CMA has set an Aug. 28 deadline for a decision.

The regulator recently said it was considering an investigation into whether the deal could affect competition in the UK or in other markets.

Boeing ( BA ) and Spirit AeroSystems ( SPR ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
