Bombardier's Global 7500 Jet Achieves 135th Speed Record Between Cities

08:15 AM EDT, 07/11/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Bombardier (BBD-B.TO) said Friday that its Global 7500 business jet achieved 135 speed records between various cities, the most ever set by a type of business aircraft.

The jet's speed records include city pairs such as Tokyo to San Francisco, London to Riyadh, and Tokyo to Toronto, Bombardier said.

Bombardier said the Global 7500 aircraft will soon be enhanced with the introduction of the Global 8000, which is expected to have an industry-leading range of 8,000 nautical miles and a top speed of Mach 0.94.

Bombardier's share price gained 3% on Thursday to $160.95 on the TSX.
