Bombardier's Global 8000 jet receives certification from Transport Canada
Nov 5, 2025 9:40 AM

Nov 5 (Reuters) - Bombardier said on Wednesday

its Global 8000 business jet, expected to be the fastest

civilian plane since the Concorde, has received a certification

from Canada's transport regulator.

U.S. Federal Aviation Administration and European Aviation

Safety Agency certification would follow, the Canadian aircraft

maker said.

The Global 8000 jet is expected to have a top speed of 0.95

mach, or about 729 miles per hour.

Last month, Bombardier unveiled a new order from Comlux

Aviation for its Global 8000 business jet to its backlog.

The company will deliver the first of these planes later

this year, but has not yet revealed the identity of the customer

as on Wednesday.
