10:44 AM EDT, 03/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Booking Holdings' ( BKNG ) limited US revenue exposure helps shield the company from weakening consumer travel demand, B. Riley Securities said in a Friday note to clients.
The US accounts for less than 20% of the travel and tourism reservation portal's overall revenue, according to the brokerage.
US air carriers have recently indicated a slowdown in air travel demand due to factors including consumer price sensitivity amid macro headwinds, B. Riley said in a separate note issued Thursday. Earlier this week, Southwest Airlines (LUV) and Delta Air Lines (DAL) lowered their first-quarter revenue outlooks.
"Given the company's lower US exposure than peers, we find the business well positioned should there be incremental slowdown in US travel," the brokerage said Friday.
A B. Riley-hosted investor group meeting with Booking left the brokerage feeling upbeat about the company's potential to deliver strong profitability over the near to medium term. B. Riley reiterated its buy recommendation and a $6,000 price target on the stock.
Booking last month reported a 30% year-over-year increase in adjusted earnings per share to $41.55 for the quarter ended Dec. 31. Revenue climbed 14% to $5.47 billion as room nights and gross bookings grew by double-digit percentages.
The company's stock is 15% off February highs, according to the research note.
"Given (Booking's) history of strong execution and the solid underpinnings of the business, we view the recent pullback in the stock as an enhanced buying opportunity for (long-term) investors," B. Riley said.
