The project supports a new agency plan designed to update how weather information is processed and distributed using artificial intelligence and modern infrastructure. The company said it will help rebuild the Advanced Weather Interactive Processing System in a cloud environment.

The platform will facilitate quicker and more reliable delivery of current and future forecasting applications, according to the company.
