Boralex Q3 Loss Widens on Weak Power Prices Despite Higher Output
Nov 7, 2025 5:58 AM

08:34 AM EST, 11/07/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Boralex ( BRLXF ) on Friday said its third-quarter loss widened as revenue fell as weaker prices offset higher power production.

The renewable-power company said it lost $27 million, or $0.26 per share, compared to a loss of $14 million, or $0.13, in the year-prior quarter. The result lagged the FactSet consensus estimate for a $0.22 per share loss.

Revenue dipped 4% to $144 million from $150 million, even as power production rose to 1,151 gigawatt hours from 1,081 GWh. Boralex ( BRLXF ) said the power output was 13% under its expectations due to poor weather conditions in North America and Europe while weak prices cut also cut into sales.

"The production increase generated by the newly commissioned sites was more than offset by the negative impact of a price drop in France, where Boralex ( BRLXF ) had benefited from high prices last year," the company said.

Boralex's ( BRLXF ) board declared a $0.165 per share quarterly dividend, payable on Dec. 15 to shareholders of record on Nov. 28.

The company's shares closed up $0.32 to $28.07 Thursday on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
