08:33 AM EDT, 06/10/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Borealis Mining Company ( BORMF ) started its 5,000-meter drilling program at its wholly-owned Sandman Gold project in Humboldt County, Nevada, it said on Wednesday.
Drilling is expected to begin on or about June 19, and continue for several months. The program is designed to generate the technical information needed to support future engineering studies, mine planning, and permitting activities while continuing to evaluate opportunities to expand the project's resource base, it said.
About 1,660 meters of the program will be dedicated to metallurgical and geotechnical drilling across the Silica Ridge, North Hill, Abel Knoll, and Southeast Pediment deposits, with the balance of the program focused on resource expansion and exploration drilling, the mining company said. Initial drilling is intended to support engineering studies, mine planning and permitting activities, and follow-up drilling is intended to target resource expansion and district-scale exploration opportunities.
The initial phase of drilling will focus on metallurgical and geotechnical testing across each of the four Sandman deposits, it added.
Shares of the company closed down 1.1% to $0.93 on Tuesday on the TSX Venture Exchange.
