07:59 AM EDT, 05/28/2024 (MT Newswires) -- BP (BP), Shell (SHEL) and EOG Resources ( EOG ) have submitted a total of six bids on four offshore blocks in Trinidad and Tobago to explore for oil and gas, the country's energy ministry said on its website on Monday.

All three companies have submitted a proposal for the Modified UC block that is close to the Teak, Sammaan, Poui producing fields, the ministry said.

EOG has also submitted bids on the Lower Reverse L, and NCMA 4 blocks, the ministry said, adding that BP has placed a bid on NCMA 2 block.

The ministry said it will evaluate the bids and announce the winners in four months.
