05:20 PM EDT, 08/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- BQE Water ( BTQNF ) after trade Thursday said its second-quarter profit and revenue rose year-over-year.
The company earned $1.9 million, or $1.46 per share, in the period, up from $560,000, or $0.43, a year ago. FactSet expected $1.21 per share.
Revenue stood at $11.3 million, up from $3.4 million in the year-ago quarter. FactSet projected $5.9 million.
"In Q2, we continued the momentum from the first quarter and grew our technical services revenues to $15.6 million for the first half of the year. We advanced several projects in Canada, the US, and China into the commissioning stage, and continued with the temporary water treatment operations for the emergency response at Eagle Gold Mine," said Chief Executive David Kratochvil.
He added that the company expects strong results in the next two quarters as these major projects wrap up and begin to generate ongoing revenue.
The company's shares last traded Wednesday, closing at $58.50 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
