08:54 AM EDT, 05/20/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Braskem ( BAK ) said Monday it is expanding its fuels business portfolio by rolling out its 'Octane Plus' additive blended in gasoline for the premium segment of the automotive fuels industry.

The proprietary research and development process of Octane Plus was carried out at the firm's petrochemical complex in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, the polyolefins' manufacturer added.

The initial shipment of Octane Plus is already taking place from Brazil, Braskem ( BAK ) said.

Shares of the company were up nearly 4% in recent Monday premarket activity.
