11:36 AM EDT, 05/09/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Braskem ( BAK ) shares fell 2.5% in recent trading Thursday after the Brazilian company reported a Q1 loss of 1.35 billion reais ($273 million), compared with net income of 184 million reais a year earlier.

Net revenue in the quarter ended March 31 fell to 17.9 billion reais from 19.5 billion reais a year earlier, the company said Thursday.

Four analysts polled by Capital IQ expected 17.7 billion reais.
