Brazil cosmetic maker Natura's Q1 net loss narrows by 84%

SAO PAULO, May 12 (Reuters) - Brazilian cosmetic maker

Natura posted on Monday a first-quarter net loss of

150.7 million reais ($26.6 million), 83.9% narrower than a year

earlier.

Core earnings, as measured by recurring earnings before

interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA), stood

at 789.5 million reais, up some 30% year-on-year and above the

623 million-real expected by analysts in a LSEG poll.

($1 = 5.6699 reais)
