Brazil power firm Eletrobras posts almost-8% rise in second-quarter net profit

SAO PAULO, Aug 7 (Reuters) - Brazilian power company

Eletrobras on Wednesday posted a 7.6% increase in its

second-quarter net profit from the same period a year earlier.

The firm posted a net profit of 1.74 billion reais in the

quarter ended in June.
