Brazilian lender Itau posts near 14% increase in first-quarter recurring profit

SAO PAULO, May 8 (Reuters) - Brazilian lender Itau

Unibanco ( ITUB ) posted on Thursday a net recurring profit of

11.13 billion reais ($1.97 billion) for the first quarter, up

13.9% year-on-year and compared to an estimate of 11 billion

reais from analysts polled by LSEG.

($1 = 5.6620 reais)
