SAO PAULO, June 5 (Reuters) - Brazilian food processor
BRF is confident companies will be able to resume
chicken exports in a matter of days as authorities have so far
been able to control a bird flu outbreak on a commercial chicken
farm in southern Brazil.
Speaking at an industry event in Sao Paulo, the company's
vice president for quality, Fabio Stumpf, was referring to
regional and nationwide trade bans imposed on Brazil after
confirmation of the outbreak in mid-May, which led several
countries to suspend purchases.
