Brazil's BTG Pactual posts 42% jump in Q2 net income

SAO PAULO, Aug 12 (Reuters) - Brazilian lender BTG

Pactual reported a second-quarter adjusted net income

of 4.18 billion reais ($767.89 million) on Tuesday, up 42% from

the previous year.

Analysts polled by LSEG had expected a bottom line of 3.63

billion reais for the period.

Total revenue came in at 8.29 billion reais, a 38.5%

year-on-year increase, BTG said in a securities filing, also

exceeding the 7.32 billion reais forecast by analysts in the

LSEG poll.
