SAO PAULO, March 10 (Reuters) - Brazilian conglomerate
Cosan ( CSAN ) reported on Tuesday a fourth-quarter net loss
of 5.8 billion reais ($1.12 billion), cutting its year-earlier
net loss by 38%.
Companies in Cosan's ( CSAN ) portfolio posted combined earnings
before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA)
of 7.76 billion reais, down 3% year-over-year.
* Cosan's ( CSAN ) portfolio includes companies such as Raizen
, Rumo ( RUMOF ), Compass, Moove and Radar.
* Cosan ( CSAN ) last year raised over 10 billion reais through share
offerings to alleviate its debt.
* The firm said it took key steps in 2025 towards
strengthening its capital structure and reducing leverage.
* "We started 2026 with a simplified organizational
structure and the execution of debt prepayments," Cosan ( CSAN ) said in
the earnings report.
