SAO PAULO, June 17 (Reuters) - Brazil's state-run
nuclear power company Eletronuclear said on Monday it has
unilaterally terminated a contract to restart the Angra 3
nuclear power works.
Eletronuclear, which is backed by state-run ENBPar and
utility giant Eletrobras, said the termination was
due to the non-compliance of terms of the contract, including
its deadlines.
Eletronuclear and the consortium Ferreira Guedes, Matricial
and ADtranz had signed the contract in 2022, which included
finishing the concrete superstructure of the reactor building in
Angra 3, located in the city of Angra dos Reis in Rio de Janeiro
state.
The consortium did not immediately respond to request for
comment.
