Brazil's WEG reports 10.4% rise in second-quarter net profit, but misses forecasts

SAO PAULO, July 23 (Reuters) - Brazilian motor maker WEG

on Wednesday reported second-quarter net profit of

1.59 billion reais ($285.8 million), up 10.4% from a year

earlier but falling short of the 1.76 billion expected by

analysts in an LSEG poll.

WEG's net revenue for the quarter reached 10.2 billion

reais, a 10.1% year-on-year increase. Analysts expected it to

come in at 11.16 billion reais.

($1 = 5.5643 reais)
