Brea Has Talks to Acquire Italian Serie B Soccer Team

01:06 PM EDT, 04/22/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Brera Holdings ( BREA ) , a sports team ownership holding company, said Monday initiated discussions to acquire a soccer team currently in the second-highest division of professional soccer in Italy, known as Serie B.

Chief Executive Officer Pierre Galoppi said in a statement the company is in talks "with several top caliber and storied teams," and an announcement will be made "as soon as we are legally in a position to do so."

Shares of Brera ( BREA ) were little changed in recent trading Monday, paring earlier gains.
