Brightcove to Be Taken Private by Bending Spoons in $233 Million Deal; Shares Jump

09:09 AM EST, 11/25/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Brightcove ( BCOV ) said Monday it signed a definitive agreement to be acquired by Bending Spoons for $233 million in cash, or $4.45 per share.

The transaction is expected to close during the first half of 2025, after which Brightcove ( BCOV ) will become a privately held company, it said.

Brightcove ( BCOV ) shares were 35% higher in premarket trading.
