Britain to publish first guidance under Online Safety Bill in December

LONDON, Oct 17 (Reuters) - Britain's media regulator

Ofcom said on Thursday that it would publish its first edition

of guidance on how social media companies would be expected to

assess risk of illegal content on their platform in December.

Ofcom, which is responsible for implementing the

government's Online Safety Bill, said it would expect companies

to disclose their risk assessments from March 31 next year.
