British American Tobacco to Sell Stake in ITC

04:10 PM EDT, 03/11/2024 (MT Newswires) -- British American Tobacco ( BTI ) on Monday said it is preparing to sell a "small part" of its equity stake in Indian partner ITC through an on-market block trade.

The maker of Lucky Strike cigarettes disclosed the potential sale in a US regulatory filing. It did not provide additional details, although the company said it would make further announcements when appropriate.

British American currently owns about 29% of the Kolkata-based conglomerate, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.
