British insurer L&G to sell US protection unit to Japan's Meiji Yasuda

Feb 7 (Reuters) - British life insurer Legal & General ( LGGNF )

said on Friday it would sell its U.S. protection

business to Japan's Meiji Yasuda, and the companies will form a

strategic partnership to expand the US Pension Risk Transfer

business in a $2.3 billion deal.
