British regulators look into Big Tech and digital wallets

July 15 (Reuters) - British regulators said on Monday

they are seeking views on the benefits and risks of digital

wallets, which have become an important "touchpoint" between big

tech firms and UK consumers.

The Financial Conduct Authority and Payments Systems

Regulator will assess the impact the rising popularity of

digital wallets, such as Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal ( PYPL ), have

on competition and choice of payment options at checkout, among

other things.
