10:42 AM EST, 03/06/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Broadcom ( AVGO ) said Wednesday that 5 nanometer peripheral component interconnect express Gen 5.0/CXL2.0 and PCIe Gen 6.0/CXL3.1 retimers are available.

The retimers, together with the company's PEX switches,"enable an open, flexible and industry standard based ecosystem for next-generation AI server fabric," Vijay Janapaty, general manager of Broadcom's ( AVGO ) physical layer products division, said in a statement.

The company said it is offering the retimer devices to early access customers and partners.

Broadcom ( AVGO ) shares rose 1.8% in recent trading Wednesday.
