08:32 AM EDT, 07/27/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Brookfield Asset Management ( BAM ) is partnering with Nvidia ( NVDA ) to expand South Korea's sovereign AI factory infrastructure.
The 200-megawatt expansion, which is more than three times the 55-megawatt plan announced last month, significantly accelerates Korea's national AI ambitions, a statement said. Naver, South Korea's largest internet company aims to expand its deployment of Nvidia AI infrastructure to 1 gigawatt.
Brookfield plans to fund up to $9 billion for AI infrastructure, while Nvidia ( NVDA ) said it plans to invest $1 billion into Naver.
"The partnership will combine Brookfield's global AI infrastructure investment capabilities, NAVER's full-stack AI and data center operating expertise, and NVIDIA's ( NVDA ) accelerated computing platform to advance Korea's AI capabilities," said Sikander Rashid, global head of AI infrastructure at Brookfield.
