07:11 AM EDT, 05/02/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Brookfield Business Partners (BBU-UN.TO, BBUC) on Friday reported higher first-quarter net income.
Net income rose to US$80 million, or US$0.38 per limited partnership unit, from US$48 million, or US$0.23 per limited partnership unit in the prior period.
The company will pay the regular quarterly dividend of US$0.06 per unit on June 30.
"We had an active start to the year, generating over $1.5 billion from our capital recycling initiatives, progressing the acquisition of two market-leading industrial operations and investing approximately $140 million to repurchase our units and shares," said Chief Executive Anuj Ranjan.
Brookfield's shares were last seen up US$0.50, to US$26.19, in New York pre-market trading.
