07:49 AM EDT, 05/03/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Brookfield Renewable Partners (BEP-UN.TO) on Friday reported a wider first-quarter net loss even as revenue rose.
The net loss of US$120 million, or US$0.23 per unit, was wider than the net loss of $32 million, or US$0.09 per unit last year. The increased loss was due to non-cash depreciation and other expenses, Brookfield said.
Quarterly revenue for Brookfield Renewable, which has a global portfolio of hydroelectric, wind, utility-scale solar and storage facilities, rose to US$1.5 billion, from US$1.33 billion in the first quarter of 2023.
The next quarterly distribution in the amount of $0.355 per LP unit is payable on June 28.
