Brookfield Renewable to Issue US$500 Million of Green Notes

07:17 AM EST, 01/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Brookfield Renewable overnight Tuesday said it agreed to issue C$500 million of Series 20 Notes, due January 15, 2056

A statement noted the notes, bearing an interest at a rate of 5.204% per annum, will represent the company's eighteenth green labelled corporate securities issuance in North America.

Brookfield Renewable's unit, Brookfield Renewable Partners ULC, will be the issuer of the notes, which will be fully and unconditionally guaranteed by Brookfield Renewable and certain of its key holding units. The notes will be issued pursuant to a base shelf prospectus dated Sept. 26, 2025, and a related prospectus supplement and pricing supplement to be dated Jan. 13, 2026.

Proceeds from the sale of the notes will be used to fund eligible investments. The company said the issue is expected to close on or about January 15.

Brookfield Renewable said the notes have been rated BBB+ by S&P Global Ratings, BBB (high) with a stable trend by DBRS Limited and BBB+ by Fitch Ratings.

U.S.-listed shares of Brookfield Renewable Corporation ( BEPC ) were last seen up 2% at US$39.98 in pre-market trading. BEP was up 4%.
